~Another fine 'Sultans Of Sand Worldwide' project ~
The sculptures are laid out in numerical sequence, and can be seen in the color rendering of the floor plan.
These sketch ideas below are just examples of either films
or characters from each category of the Hollywood theme that I have selected
for each artist.
There should be at least three, but not more than five examples
of different appropriate elements for each sculpture, but you can have
as many figures as you want. For example Box Office Smash Hits may have
four movies represented overall: Star Wars, Titanic, Lord of the Rings
and ET the Extraterrestrial. But, it may have 25 imperial storm troopers
six inches high just in the Star Wars part.
Which brings me to the scale issue.
The idea is that we are representing a big montage of many
different elements in multiple sculptures, so the scale SHOULD be mixed
up. Even mixed scale in a single sculpture or theme is OK (like on movie
posters often).
Example: A two meter long sculpture of Titanic could be right
next to a sculpture of Yoda's head that is one meter tall. That scale is
way different, but that is fine!
In a couple of sculptures, like the Golden Era of contract
actors (1940s-1960s) it is ok if it is composed all of figures & all
in life size scale. One or two sculptures that are consistent with their
own scale is ok too.
PLEASE SEND ME SKETCHES OF HOW YOU PLAN TO CARVE YOUR SUBJECT NOW so that I can have a good idea of the direction you are going in. The producer may also want to use your sketches in the program and he needs to get that material to the printer right away.
