FEATURES:

1.) EXHIBITION

ALICE IN WONDERSAND

SEE: 10 different vignettes in sand from Lewis Carroll's' classic tale of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland

Rendered in sand by ten International Master Sand Sculptors. This exhibition was created June 1-10. The finished art was on display through June 25. It is the largest sand sculpture in Italy

2.) MASTERS COMPETITION:

The 4th Annual, Jesolo International Invitational Solo Masters Sand Sculpture Competition

$8,000 in prize money. Theme- "Fairy Tales " Competition dates: June 12 -16. Awards presentation June 17. The art remained on display through June 25.

3.) INSTRUCTION:

Free "hands-on " workshops in basic sand sculpting techniques for kids as well as adults. presented by the by the professionals. June 14, 15& 16.

4.). CHILDREN'S COMPETITION:

A children's sand sculpture contest. Two divisions for children: 7 years of age and younger, & children 8 years old through 12 years of age. Adult assistance is limited to the spoken word directives, and from outside the plot. June 17

5.) PROMOTIONAL DISPLAYS:

Other various sculptures created around town for promotional purposes. (or just for fun) by different persons in the event.

6.) VISUAL HISTORY:

PLUS:

A photographic exhibition on the event site, recapping sand works of previous years at CDM events. A new addition this year. It will likely be expanded next year to include an event gift shop for souvenir hunters.
