sixteen years of various themes, the Jesolo International Sand Sculpture
Festival is heading back to it's roots -at least figuratively speaking,
by delving into the Italian Renaissance.
This year the show is rendered from some 1200 tons of available custom sand, in a way that reflects a living renaissance. That is, it depicts life as it was happening in that time period. Painted sets will enhance the effect. At night time, the show is lit for a whole other experience.
Come join us at the hip coastal community of Jesolo, along the lido at Venice county, Italy. There are always lots of other fine events happening there, each week!

The creation process will be from 20 May -15 June, The work is rendered by 12 international master sand sand sculptors representing 8 countries. They are assisted by a cadre of art student helpers from the Academy in Venice, who labor in exchange for learning about the craft and school credit.
It is all under the big top tent, right on the beach near the Casa Bianca. The show will be open to the public from 16 June, through the end of July, or longer. Open 09:00-23:00 daily, rain or shine.
