Flying Pie Fighters Motorcycle Club
The Flying Pie Fighters Motorcycle Club is a fun group of motorcycle enthusiasts founded by the Varano family riders of Volusia County, Florida.
The club was indeed born out of the spirit of good clean fun & was established as a result of the practice by Varano family members of ambushing their siblings (or others) with a pie in the face on the hapless victim's respective birthday. This ritual dates back to sometime in the late 20th century.
The premise is that it is enjoyable to spend time riding with the type of people who can appreciate the notion that a pie in the face on your birthday or other personal celebratory occasions serves to keep one grounded, as opposed to being "too big for ones' britches."
Well, that, or the fact that it is just plain fun to pie someone. But as a member, you have to be able to "get" as good as you "give."
