Here you will see examples of sand castles rendered from just
500 pounds of sand or less. (approximately FIVE or SIX, 5-gallon
buckets full)
Visually, this much raw sand represents a cube about 2 feet on a
side. But, since a pile of sand does not usually
fall out in a perfect cube, and is generally more of a conical or
irregularly
mounded shape, you may envision a smallish sized load, of
laundry generated by the average college student. The rough size and
shape
is about like that... But, sand smells a whole lot better.
If the sand quality is high, and the design calls for it, the
castles can be considerably higher than the raw pile -often up to three
feet or taller
from the base, depending on the design. When the sculptures are also
created on an elevated platform,
the results can be dramatic if not striking, especially when you
consider
just how small a volume of sand is actually used. This much sand can
easily be moved into a venue in just one trip with a dolly, or pallet
jack, or by other
types of flatbed hand truck devices.

where setup or sculpting time is limited. Also, because they can be
created
on an elevated (or not) standard 2x6 foot or a 3 foot round
banquet

indoors, in
a meeting room eight stories up in a hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It should be noted that the castle shown here is comparatively a
more highly detailed sculpture, which would necessarily take longer to
create
than would other themes or subjects that are perhaps broad and smooth
such
as dolphins jumping in the waves, or possibly your own product line, or
even
just your corporate logo. So, if you are sidled with a time crunch, and
can
be flexible on what exactly the designs being rendered in the sand are,
we
can still provide an amazing piece to fit the time budget. Conversely,
if double the work time is allocated, a proportionately more elaborate
design
may also be created.
