THE EVENT SPONSOR
They provide funding and/or in kind service for:

The funding to provide for the prize package for the Masters
-
The funding for the incentives package for the Masters (appearance
money)
-
The funding for the ancillary expenses of materials, printing,
and other event related needs.
We also do have:
The Host Sponsors -The Outrigger Beach Resort. and
the Holiday Inn Gulfside. The Outrigger has been the cornerstone of the
event since its inception in the mid eighties. Both hotels provide accommodations
and food for the competing Master. Each year the host hotels alternate
the hosting of the amateur division competition as well as being the site
of the awards presentation on Sunday afternoon. This year the awards presentation
and the amateur divisions are at the Outrigger.
The Presenter of the Festival - The Greater Fort Myers Beach
Area Chamber of Commerce. They own the event name and provide administration
assistance to the producers in the form of office space, Media relations,
General PR, volunteers to accept registrations and facilitate the Amateur
division competition. They are also the key contacts for advance tee shirt
sales.
These two parties as well as the producer /director The Sultans
Of Sand will be listed as well as any Event Sponsors and all
the minor support sponsors in all media and promotional materials with
the sole exception of the event Tee Shirt.
If one sponsor is willing to be THE sole event sponsor, they will
get all the benefit of exposure as THE event Sponsor. In calendar year
2000 this sponsor is Marco

The more sponsors, the more split in cost to the sponsors, but also
diluted exposure.

What a Sponsor can expect:

Your logo carved in sand on site at the event. ($1,000.00 minimum donation
required for this aspect)

Exposure of brand name, and involvement in this well established (14th
annual) event in all media coverage.

Name branding on all printed materials such as posters and brochures.
(the exception is the event Tee Shirt).

Name branding on any promotional items that may be generated by the
event, except the event Tee Shirt. The event tee shirt is being reserved
for the current year event logo design alone, unless a sponsor were commit
enough funds to cover the entire financial needs of the event ($6,500.00
minimum donation)

The event enjoys widespread coverage in the media and in print. Over
30,000 people visited the event last year. The internet coverage is substantial,
and a sponsor can expect a full page dedicated to them on this event web
site

Sponsors may erect a booth or tent on site to pass out info or promotional
items of their choosing (pending approval).

Sponsors may hang banners and signs that are pre approved.

The sponsor Logo created in sand on site will remain on display as long
as the sculptures themselves, which is usually up to a number of weeks.
No sales are permitted on site. Due to the restrictions
in permitting for the City, County and Department of Natural Resources,
we (the event itself) will not be selling food or beverages. The
Host Hotels will have their usual F&B sales going on as part of their
regular daily business, but that is the extent of expected sales besides
the event tee shirt and possibly any other even- related merchandise such
as souvenirs. This is a family oriented event, and though the demographics
are broad, we want to impart a familial feel to the show.

In addition to Event Sponsors, other sponsorship options
may be available, such as individual sponsorships of the individual Masters
competing. If this is done, it must go through the producers first, as
space and other perks are limited.

Varano Sand Sculpture Company / The Sultans of Sand currently facilitates
in one way or another, five annual events around the world, and countless
other special events involving sand sculpture. From amateur contests to
Pro Masters Class International Art Shows, to Team Building seminars and
Educational classes/workshops & private instruction. We can offer Public

Sand sculpture is a unique and captivating medium, well suited to
broad band demographics. It is good clean fun for the entire family as
passive entertainment, or for active "hands-on" involvement.
