The Workshops/Lessons: Join
the fun by attending one of the scheduled sand sculpture workshops at the
waters edge on the CDM beach site. Where, in a very short time you can
learn the rudimentary basics of why sand sticks together -and more importantly
why it does not. Also learn how to build your own solid bases
and foundations for rendering sand sculpture like the pros. See how the little tricks and tips the Masters
use can help you turn your own creations into more detailed and interesting
sculptures. This entry level workshop is a hands on experience
for the entire family. But children under 13 years of age can only attend
with an adult supervising them. There is no cost for the workshop, but you
should bring your own buckets, spades and tools for carving if you want
to continue after the workshop concludes. Space is limited, so the area
in front of the CDM beach site at the waters edge is reserved for several
of the 30 minute workshops. Some buckets will be provided so you
can get water from the sea to use during the workshop. The tools we provide
for carving need to be returned at the end of the workshop for the next
group to use.
