Damon Farmer has been a very important force for the SOS organization behind the scenes, as well as on stage as a featured artist at numerous & distant gigs, and for many years. Being involved in various technical aspects, such as designing the final floor plan layout for this years ambitious project, he is respected for his talent and opinions, of course. But, he is also very easy to get along with in going with the flow of what the director or producers desire, despite the sometimes daunting balance that exists for all artists on these projects, between the art they want to do, and what works best for the needs and goals of the administrators.
His talent and creative ingenuity aside, he is also very bright, insightful, fun and generous of spirit. His contributions always go far beyond what the casual observer is aware of, and he is highly appreciated for it.
Because he is so busy with his own great projects however, he is, (understandably) not always able to sign on for every SOS gig he is invited to. But gladly, he has not missed a Jesolo event yet. Visit Damon's own ultra-cool web site: www.shadetreestudio.com

The Dime Novel was born in the early 1850's. This progenitor of the modern novel was one way the western frontier was sensationalized and introduced to much of the rest of the world, including Europe. Some of the historical references & stories were only very loosely based on fact, and others were shear fiction meant for pure entertainment. But their mass appeal and the excitement they generated led to mass production of cheap story books for all genre of literature, including the modern novel as we know it today.
