| Lars Borst: Graduate
of the Royal Art Academy at The Hague 1990. Lars is a multi dimensional person who can make art out of just about any, and all kinds of things. In particular he has done a number of installations using cardboard. He is busy doing ice and sand at the moment, and hardly skips a beat in between. Having carved for years at both the summer and winter shows here in Jesolo, Lars has the focal point of the nativity this year with the Birth of Jesus. He is a chief designer for a number of projects involving various mediums at many different types of art events, for various clients in Europe. Recently he combined sand sculpture with a theatrical production that also featured dance. -An original and interesting juxtaposition to say the least. But such uniqueness is quintessentially Lars. Resourceful as he is talented, Lars can think on his feet, and is a good problem solver. His ideas have come in handy for me, time after time. Lars turns forty this year, but he has the sagacity of someone far older. Possessed of able and fast hands, keen observations, wit like a knife edge, and a sense of humor as big as the European Community, Lars make for a good compliment to any carving team. We are glad to have him here at Jesolo once again. As he might so eloquently put it,..."Yah-yah, yah-yah, yah" Check out Lars on the web: www.deloeul.org/godsgeschenk/borst/borst.html |
