Alexey Dyakov:
Alexey Dyakov is one of the
premier carvers to emerge from Russia in recent years. Classically trained,
his work carries the signature styling of the Russian old school.
Which is to say, bold and striking -a lot like himself actually. He also is experienced with snow and ice. Currently quite active on the world sand sculpture
tour carving sand for exhibitions and competitions, he has won numerous
international awards. Including first place here at the Jesolo summer event
the last time we featured a competition as part of the show. Alexey is a
little quiet and reserved on the outside, but is generally capable of not
only good sculpture, but a crackin' good time when "off the clock" as well.
You never know what he'll be into next. Russian Academe of Applied Art 1995 Stroganov Art University Moscow 2002 A graduate of the Art Academe in Moscow, and associated with prestigious national artists guilds in Russia, Alexey is courted by other major events worldwide, on a regular basis. So we are glad he chooses Jesolo as one of his landing spots twice a year. Check out Alexey on the web: www.daart.ru |
