| Welcome to the
Event Home Page for the 19th edition of the Jesolo International Sand
Sculpture Festival. Combined with our sister show the Sand Nativity, which
is the second show we produce here each year, it marks the 30th major sand
exhibition we have featured here in this fine city, that has become known
as one of the oldest and finest such shows in the European theater, and
indeed, all the world.
From here you can see up to date images, and get info about this fine sand sculpture show featuring some of the worlds best sand sculptors.
| The theme
of the show this year is " European Capital Cities" Nine
different original concepts by a team of international master sand sculptors,
assisted by six art students from the Guggenheim academy of art in Venice.
From 21 May, the artists will be working daylight hours (08:30 - 18:30),
completing the sculpting phase on 30, May 2016. The lighted sculptures may
be viewed after dark until the end of the season.
|Admission to the park is free. The works will be on view as they are being created and on display until the end of the summer. The sand show is the anchor for various other entertainment provided by Jesolo Turismo in the park through the summer. Many thousands of visitors to the Jesolo lido will view the spectacle at Piazza Brescia, on Via Bafile.|| We hope you can
come out to see the works being created, in person. But if not, check
the progress and see the finished works here online. You can also "Like"

Selected European Capital Cities
Like all capital cities of the world, the nine different European capitals we render here in sand sculpture this summer hold more than just the seat of governmental bureaucracy for any particular country.
They also are filled with history, art & culture, talented and interesting people, and many other special, more intangible qualities. Such as geographic or topographic elements that make them wonderful in numerous other ways, and so, quite unique onto themselves.
Much the way that the city of Jesolo has become a Capital City in the ever growing World of modern professional sand sculpture.
We hope you enjoy this, the 19th annual edition of this sand art show, and the city of Jesolo, as much as we enjoy creating this ephemeral art each year, and the wonderful community here that continues to host us,
Rich Varano, and this year’s iteration of the “Sultans Of Sand Worldwide” team. Follow and “Like” us on Facebook
