Katsuhiku is one of the very finest sand carvers in Asia.
He has vast experience in sand on several continents and is sought after for
working on international projects and in competition. His own sand event in
Kaseda is coupled with an annual flower show. Katsu has worked with us in
Jesolo three times. We hope he will come back next year.

The first talking movie after the silent film era in Hollywood was indeed an animated cartoon called Steamboat Willie by Walt Disney.
Over the years hundreds of short films and numerous features have been made entirely in animation. And today, Disney is still at the fore of the industry of commercial animation. Though Pixar is also ‘up there’ as a leading producer of contemporary animation coming out of Hollywood today.
The early works like Pinocchio and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, or even the timeless Fantasia, often generally geared for children, have been eclipsed by today's advanced production techniques and big production budgets. They usually now feature the high budget voices of famous actors in contemporary smash hits like Shrek, Aladdin, Finding Nemo, Toy Story and Monsters Inc. Much of the humor in many of these “cartoons” of today is aimed at adult audiences through the guise of animated films for children.
