JESOLO
SCULTURE DI SABBIA IX - VISIONS OF AFRICA
Nelson
Mandella and the Fall of Apartheid
By Fergus Mulvany. County Meade, Ireland
Fergus is
Ireland's
premier sand carver and one of the more well respected artistic minds
in the business working today.
He has been with us a time or two before, and we hope to see him
more in the future.
This is a symbolic collage, which
features the great
Nelson Mandella. Reflecting both his time in prison and also as a free
man
casting his vote after the fall of Apartheid. The sculpture also
includes the
outline of the African continent derived of different faces of African
people.
And, there is also the ANC symbol.
