JESOLO SCULTURE DI SABBIA IX
VISIONS OF AFRICA
2006
SULTANS
OF SAND CREW OF CARVERS NOTES:
Arrive in Jesolo no later than 06 June. The work schedule is
June 05 through June 14.
You must be able to work all 10
days. You can leave after the carving is finished June 14, or you
can stay at no cost through the 18th for the Opening Ceremony.
Eight hours on schedule
8:00AM -Noon
& 2:00 - 6:00 PM each day, minimum. (4 hr. AM / 2 hr. break /
4 hr. PM).
All standard expenses for
travel & meals are covered, including
private rooms.
Guests & family are welcome
at
your own expense.
You will be directed
what to design and carve specifically. It is
an illustration job. No styles involving abstract, surrealism,
symbolism,
impressionism or other interpretive modes will be used. Realism
is the
objective. All
the big poundups are done before you arrive. If you need small ones we
can make them at the time. Labor helpers are provided, but how many is
not yet known. It is not likely there will be one for each carver
though, so we have to share them.
Please Note: No other
sand or snow/ice event
identifiable clothing can be worn
while working, or
on the show premises at any time, even during non working hours.
You may be required to wear
Sultans Of Sand &/or event ID clothing at
certain times. You must sign an artistic
release form to be paid.
The show opens June 18,
and you are invited to stay for that at
our expense, but it is not mandatory.
THE CREW:
There are 19 carvers for this event.
You will now be contacted by
the travel office to arrange your tickets.
Then, each of you and I can work together on designing the exact
elements you will carve.
